Emily is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and fulfilled her Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at the Ann Martin Center. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Access Institute for Psychological Services. Emily has multiple years of experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment to teens and their families.
Emily works from a culturally humble, trauma-informed psychodynamic approach. She considers people’s life events and cultural experiences as central to shaping their strengths and struggles. She builds trust with clients and their families while fortifying their strengths and supporting them in changing unhelpful patterns. Emily also uses Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Based Therapy techniques to foster new skills that facilitate and maintain recovery. She is currently pursuing more training in FBT.
