Adam is a registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) in the state of California. He has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute and a Bachelor’s Degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Adam is committed to helping clients build meaningful lives in line with their values; teaching practical skills for handling difficult thoughts and feelings; and bringing empathy, compassion, and a beginner’s mind to each family. Adam uses principles from Family-Based Treatment (FBT), ACT, and DBT in individual and family work. He is supervised by Erika Bent, LPCC/LMFT.
Adam previously spent ten years as a journalist and advocate in the diabetes field. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12 and has brought a patient perspective to numerous public venues, including FDA and NIH meetings; international scientific and industry conferences; and local events for people with diabetes and healthcare providers.
