Erika is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California who earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Erika’s clinical experience spans across a wide range of inpatient and outpatient settings where she has gained expertise in the treatment of adolescents and adults with eating disorders. She has published research papers on body image and biological characteristics of Anorexia Nervosa, and serves of the board of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
Erika utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, emphasizing Family Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. She is a certified Eating Disorder Specialist recognized by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and certified in Family Based Treatment by Train2Treat4ED.
Erika is passionate about helping adolescents and families in their journey to recovery. Her treatment philosophy promotes a collaborative therapeutic relationship while empowering individuals and families to cultivate their own path to wellness.
