Katie Colver is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. She has a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters in counseling, both from San Francisco State University.
Katie has been working in the field of eating disorders since 2019 and has been in a variety of roles at The Healthy Teen Project including intake/admissions coordinator, yoga instructor, and milieu counselor. Prior to returning to HTP as a therapist, Katie was working with clients in their home environments as an eating disorder recovery meal coach. In addition to eating disorder work, Katie has worked with clients as a psychotherapist in both college and community mental health settings.
Her approach to therapy is client-centered, relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in social justice. Her work with clients often incorporates elements of DBT, CBT, EFT, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Katie was also a yoga instructor for almost 20 years and brings elements of that into her therapy practice, including mindfulness and somatic work.
