Dr. Susanne Martin is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Adolescent Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine followed by a three-year Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in 2014. She has been working at The Healthy Teen Project since beginning of 2015. She stepped into the role of Medical Director beginning of 2017.

In addition to The Healthy Teen Project, Susanne works as a Clinical Instructor at the College Health Center Vaden, Stanford School of Medicine and at Sutter/Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) in urgent care. She is also the primary care provider for a residential treatment program that specializes in treating eating disorders in adolescents.

Susanne’s professional interests include adolescent growth and development as well as management of eating disorders in adolescents. Her research focused on bone health and hormonal balance in adolescents. Susanne has experience in wilderness medicine through volunteer work in search and rescue. In the future, she would like to learn more about complementary medicine and integration into her clinical work.

She is fluent in German.
